I was thrilled to have entered the International Watercolour Masters contest for all artists. I was encouraged to enter by members of my painting group in Weston, Staffordshire. The group holds exhibitions and we sell artwork. I have also been delighted to have been invited to the HeadtoArt Collective and have been able to sell my work at Weston Park in Shropshire and the Bear Steps Gallery in Shrewsbury. More recently in Stone with the help of my own card reader technology, I made more sales and was pleased and honoured to find my work was appreciated so much. We have toyed with the idea of setting up an online sales area on this website but have left the concept for the future as we haven’t investigated or trialled a safe way of sending artwork, especially framed paintings by courier. It pleases me greatly to think that my work is up on someone’s wall and will try to make it more available.
Many, but not all, of the paintings in the Galleries would be available to purchase and therefore a shop area will be added. In the meantime a number of my website business cards have been picked up from the various exhibitions. If anyone feels an urge to purchase a painting in the Gallery then we’d be pleased to receive a message via the messaging system on the website. Currently we are considering posting in cardboard tubes and possibly flat with mount board to help the packaging. There would be little chance of frames with glass surviving but maybe perspex options could be a solution.
